Hope Family Counseling Services, LLC was founded by Nakeda Nettles. Since she was a child herself, being a listening ear, guiding light, and voice of reason to those around her has been second nature to Nakeda. She actively participated in community activities throughout her formative years and the resulting fulfillment that she experienced inspired her to pursue a career in social service.
Nakeda has earned an Associate of Arts from Alabama Southern Community College, a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Psychology and minoring in General Business from the University of Alabama, as well as a Master of Social Work, also from the University of Alabama. Nakeda has thirteen years of social work experience during which time she worked with children, families, and community professionals in various capacities including child protective services, conducting home studies, conducting court ordered psychosocial assessments, providing counseling and psychotherapy for individuals, families, and groups, and providing education for community professionals.
Nakeda has strong values that are rooted in her faith and she strives to lead a life that is representative of those beliefs and values.
